Dressing

Hook: Size, 10,12,14 or 16 Kamasan B170 or B400.
Tail: Grizzle or cree cock hackle, or a few fibres
of Mink or squirrel.
Body: Mink, hare's ear, red or grey squirrel mix
Rib: Fine gold wire.
Hackles: One grizzle or cree cock plus one red
game wound through front third of body.
Thread: UTC 'Brown Olive' 70 Denier.
One of my all time favourite dries. Designed originally by Neil Patterson for river fishing, but its effectiveness on stillwaters has been exploited by me, and I'm sure many others in recent years. Read more in the PDF below...
