One of the very fist flies that I ever 'pimped'. In my formative fly fishing years, the standard Black Pennell rapidly became a firm favourite on the tail position, where it quite rightly belongs. Not a great deal of use on the top dropper though, hence the addition of a body hackle, and some seal's fur. Read more in the link below...
