Tail: Moose mane or natural deer hair.
Body: Mix of grey squirrel and hare's ear.
Wing: Natural or olive deer hair
Hackle: Grizzle cock dyed olive
Thread: UTC 'Brown Olive' 70 Den.
A relatively recent addition to my mayfly armoury. Designed to be fished as a single dry fly, pitched at fish picking off the duns. I've only fished this so far on stillwater - with good results - but see no reason why it won't work on the rivers too. Tied 'semi-compara' with a 45° fanning of the deer hair.
