Named after the village of Dalehead which was flooded to form Stocks reservoir, t​he original 'Dalehead Dabbler' came from the vice of fellow Stocks reservoir regular, Darren Booth. The Dalehead exploits the Stocks residents penchant for black & gold, and did great things on Stocks and many other waters back in the early noughties, as it still does today. One of, if not my favourite and most consistent wet flies ever. Truly great in any position and on any line. For top dropper/floating line work, tie it with cock rather than hen.
